Water Quality Advisory Council
Purpose
The Water Quality Advisory Council (WQAC) is a volunteer council charged to provide support to the Missoula Valley Water Quality District Board for the purpose of protecting, maintaining and restoring the chemical, physical and biological integrity of the waters of Missoula County.
Membership
The Water Quality Advisory Council consists of up to 20 volunteer members. In keeping with the council’s charge individuals are sought who have expertise in areas related to water quality, including hydrology, soil science, chemistry, natural resources and engineering.
Meetings
Meetings of the Water Quality Advisory Council are open to the public. The meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The meetings are currently being held as Hybrid meetings. For those who would like to attend in person the meetings are conducted in the Health Board Conference Room (Room 210) on the second floor of the Missoula Public Health building, located at 301 West Alder.
