Animal Control Board

Purpose

The Animal Control Board has a strong commitment supporting and improving the animal control program and is charged with providing consultation to Missoula City-County Animal Control for the purpose of reviewing animal control programs and policies and approving or denying requests for multiple dog permits, in addition to other duties as described in the inter-local agreement between the city and county.

Membership

The Animal Control Board has a total of five (5) members, two (2) appointed by the County, two (2) appointed by the City, and one (1) Veterinarian appointed by the members.

Meetings

Meetings of the Animal Control Board are open to the public. The meetings are held every other month on the first Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. They are conducted in the Health Board Conference Room (Room 210) on the second floor of the Missoula Public Health Building, located at 301 W Alder.
