School and Childcare Resources

From food service licensing and inspection to guest speaking and prevention programming, Missoula Public Health is here to support our community’s schools and childcare facilities.

Looking for resources to support the families you work with?

Immunizations

Immunizations are an important tool to help prevent the spread of disease in children especially in congregate settings such as schools and childcares. Documentation of required immunizations must be provided for children to attend school or to access a licensed childcare facility. Additionally, childcare staff are also required to have a current Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), as well as a completed MMR series.

Daycare Providers

Childcare providers, if you have questions about immunization review for your annual child care licensing site review, please email [email protected]. For all other questions, please visit DPHHS’s Childcare Licensing Information.

Curriculum Support and Staff Training

Missoula Public Health is home to several prevention programs that work to promote the physical, mental, and behavioral health of Missoulians. Program staff are subject matter experts on a variety of topics covered in Health Enhancement classes including suicide, substance use, STIs, healthy relationships, tobacco, and more.

Prevention staff stay up to date on the latest research and evidence-based practices. We would be happy to assist you with selecting learning materials, vetting curriculum for accuracy and best practices, supporting your Professional Learning Community, or providing staff training.
