If you are having symptoms of COVID-19, get tested! This can be with an at-home test or through your healthcare provider’s office. Symptoms include the following:
- fever or chills
- cough
- shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- fatigue
- muscle or body aches
- headache
- loss of taste or smell
- sore throat
- congestion or runny nose
- nausea or vomiting and diarrhea
If you test positive for COVID, please isolate yourself from others for 5 days after symptom onset. If you have been exposed to COVID, please wear a mask for 10 days and monitor for symptoms.
What is the status of COVID-19 in Missoula County? Currently, Missoula County’s COVID transmission level is considered low. A new strain of COVID has been identified that has 36 new mutations. This is called BA.2.86. It has been found in the US but not in Montana yet. This new mutation is still being studied and we will share more information as it becomes available.
