Health officials recently confirmed two cases of influenza in Missoula County. This is several months earlier than when the first flu cases of the season are typically reported in late December or early January. With this early start to flu season, Missoula Public Health (MPH) encourages people to take precautions and get their flu shots now rather than later.
“This is a very early year for flu season, and we would like to encourage people to protect themselves and their loved ones by getting a flu shot now,” said Cindy Farr, director of Health Promotion at Missoula Public Health.
The Immunization Clinic at MPH offers walk-in services for flu and COVID vaccines Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Wednesday by appointment only. Vaccines are available for all ages. Patients should bring a photo ID and their insurance card if they have it.
MPH is offering flu and COVID vaccines at three upcoming offsite clinics:
Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2 to 7 p.m., Missoula County Fairgrounds, Home Arts Building
Saturday, Oct. 21, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Health and Wellness Fair, University of Montana in the UC Ballroom (flu, COVID, TDaP, shingles, pneumonia vaccines will all be available at this clinic.)
Friday, Oct. 27, 4 to 7 p.m., Imagine Nation Brewing

\r\n\tSome visual components of WP Go Maps use 3rd party libraries which are loaded over the network. At present the libraries are Google Maps, Open Street Map, jQuery DataTables and FontAwesome. When loading resources over a network, the 3rd party server will receive your IP address and User Agent string amongst other details. Please refer to the Privacy Policy of the respective libraries for details on how they use data and the process to exercise your rights under the GDPR regulations.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\tWP Go Maps uses jQuery DataTables to display sortable, searchable tables, such as that seen in the Advanced Marker Listing and on the Map Edit Page. jQuery DataTables in certain circumstances uses a cookie to save and later recall the \"state\" of a given table - that is, the search term, sort column and order and current page. This data is held in local storage and retained until this is cleared manually. No libraries used by WP Go Maps transmit this information.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
