Missoula Public Health, Community Partners to Host Wildfire and Extreme Heat Resilience Open Houses in Seeley Lake, Missoula
Missoula Public Health and community partners invite Missoula County residents to participate in two Wildfire and Extreme Heat Resilience Open House events on Wednesday, July 10, in Seeley Lake and Missoula. These two events are centered around climate resiliency in Missoula County schools, focusing on Seeley-Swan High School, Russell Elementary, and Frenchtown K-5. Residents can attend these events at the Seeley Lake Community Foundation Building from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. or at the Missoula County Fairgrounds Floriculture Building No. 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. These events are a collaboration with Climate Smart Missoula, Missoula County Public Schools and the Frenchtown School District.
The Missoula community continues to face challenges from natural disasters and climate hazards that impact daily lives and children’s education. The Community Change Equitable Resilience Program aims to develop sustainable solutions to these challenges by adding energy efficiency measures and improved ventilation systems to schools to address wildfire smoke and extreme heat events. This creates greener, more adaptable school infrastructure, such as naturally shaded places, on school campuses. This initiative helps ensure schools remain healthy during adverse conditions.
Food and beverages will be provided and the EPA Technical Assistance Team will give out Visa gift cards to participants. Both events will offer activities for kids. Residents can participate virtually by tuning in to the overview presentation and participating in the Q&A. Residents who register to attend virtually will receive a confirmation email with the virtual link. Attendees are asked to fill out a form to reserve their spot.

\r\n\tSome visual components of WP Go Maps use 3rd party libraries which are loaded over the network. At present the libraries are Google Maps, Open Street Map, jQuery DataTables and FontAwesome. When loading resources over a network, the 3rd party server will receive your IP address and User Agent string amongst other details. Please refer to the Privacy Policy of the respective libraries for details on how they use data and the process to exercise your rights under the GDPR regulations.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
\r\n\tWP Go Maps uses jQuery DataTables to display sortable, searchable tables, such as that seen in the Advanced Marker Listing and on the Map Edit Page. jQuery DataTables in certain circumstances uses a cookie to save and later recall the \"state\" of a given table - that is, the search term, sort column and order and current page. This data is held in local storage and retained until this is cleared manually. No libraries used by WP Go Maps transmit this information.\r\n<\/p>\r\n
