“The Invisible Shield”, A Community Awareness Event

Thank You for Attending!

We are thrilled that the free community event, featuring the PBS four-part film series “The Invisible Shield” was a resounding success. Participants screened the docuseries and had engaging conversations about public health.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this event to life; our attendees, discussion facilitators, partners, volunteers and community. Everyone’s presence, insights, and energy helped spark meaningful conversations about the health and well-being of our community.

The film series is designed to deepen the understanding of public health. A total of 64 community members filled out an event survey. Prior to watching the film, 58 attendees reported having a positive/very positive opinion of public health, with 4 reporting a neutral opinion. After watching the film and participating in the facilitated community conversation, 63 attendees reported feeling positive/very positive about public health. We are pleased the film series positively impacted them and helped shift their perceptions and awareness of public health.

We are truly inspired by the communities engagement and look forward to continuing the conversations about this important work together!
