Missoula Animal Services will host an adoption event this Saturday, Oct. 25, at Subaru of Missoula, located at 5175 Expressway, from 12 to 4 p.m. The shelter plans to have dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens available and ready to go home. The event is part of October’s Subaru Loves Pets Month, when a local Subaru retailer partners with a local shelter to help animals find loving homes. The shelter has over 40 animals available for adoption.
Missoula Animal Services finished their shelter remodel and expansion project in late September after starting the project last fall. The remodel includes a larger lobby for the public with rooms to meet adoptable pets, additional rooms for cats, more dog kennels with indoor/outdoor access, two large play yards, an animal intake room, a room for pets to recover from surgery, and a room for small animals like birds and rabbits.
“We are grateful and can’t thank Subaru of Missoula enough,” said Holli Hargrove, Animal Services manager. “Their support helps cover the expenses to prepare animals for adoption in October. We have many loving and fun animals who are keeping their paws crossed for a new home.”
Those who aren’t looking to adopt a pet right now can still help the animals by donating to the shelter.
Missoula Animal Services is located at 6700 Butler Creek Road and is open to the public Monday through Friday from 12 to 5:30 p.m. and on Saturdays from 12 to 4 p.m.
